The North Lancashire Bridleway is a 45km ride with a mixture of surface tracks, unsurfaced fields and quiet lanes. Clear way marking and user - friendly gates. The ride runs between Chipping and Lancaster. This bridleway passes across Wood End Farm following a concessionary path and we are situated about about one third of the way along if you start at Chipping. A short drive away is the The Pennine Bridleway Settle Loop (PDF 4.4mb) The loop starts in Settle and climbs out of this
lovely town into the Yorkshire Dales National Park, traverses a wonderful limestone upland, before descending back towards Settle.The trail incorporates open grassy stretches, limestone outcrops, grass / gravel paths and quiet winding lanes near Settle.There are many other bridleways in the area which can be used to extend your journey by linking to Malham village and Tarn, and over into Littondale and Wharfedale.
